Privacy

• Browsing Townapedia needs no account. We count page views per town per day without storing who viewed them.
• Server logs keep the page you asked for and the time for 14 days, to fix problems and stop abuse.
• If you sign in with your NEMICO account, Townapedia stores your NEMICO user id, username, display name and picture, and what you choose to save: saved towns and places, visits, trips, lists, reviews, tips, questions and photos. Photos are re-encoded when uploaded, which removes location and camera data.
• The Town Feed remembers which towns you liked in your own browser if you are not signed in.
• The weather, alerts and news on a town page come through our server, so those services do not see your address. The map loads OpenStreetMap tiles only when you open it, and YouTube videos load only when you press play (from youtube-nocookie.com).
• Townapedia shows Google ads. Google may use cookies for ads; where the law requires it you are asked first. NEMICO supporters see no ads.
• To see or delete what you have stored, write to us from the contact page while signed in.
