About Gorshechnoye
Gorshechnoye (Russian: Горшечное) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) in Gorshechensky District of Kursk Oblast, Russia. Population: 5,106 (2021 census); 6,137 (2010 census); 6,915 (2002 census); 6,863 (1989 Soviet census).

On 25 January 1943, the settlement (then under German occupation) was recaptured by the Soviet 40th Army, enabling the continuation of Soviet operations towards Stary Oskol.
